Our Cakes

Each cake is freshly handbaked by Jo to a long established recipe using fresh, high quality ingredients including free range eggs and real butter.

Our most popular cake flavours include:


A vanilla sponge with vanilla syrup filled with vanilla buttercream and raspberry conserve


A moist lemon sponge drizzled with lemon syrup and filled with lemon curd and lemon buttercream


A light coffee cake laced with espresso coffee and filled with a coffee buttercream


A delicious Chocolate cake with a hint of coffee filled with chocolate buttercream

Rich Chocolate

A seriously rich chocolate cake filled with chocolate buttercream or rich ganache

Rich Fruit

A beautifully rich, moist fruit cake laced with brandy and covered with marzipan

Sponge cakes include four layers of sponge, three layers of filling and measure approximately 12cm high. Sponge cakes can be coated in buttercream or ganache and finished with sugarpaste.  Ganache made with milk, white or dark chocolate should be used as a coating if you desire the look of a sharp edged cake.

Fruit cakes are approximately 5 cm high, but can be doubled up and sandwiched with a layer of marzipan if a taller cake is required. Fruit cakes are laced with brandy and covered in marzipan and sugarpaste.
